Computer Programming
This is an introductory course in computer science. The student will learn procedural structure in the C++ programming language. Students will create programs using such tools as nested if/else, while loops, for loops and switch statements. Students will also learn how to create their own functions and arrays, which will make implementation of their programs easier. If time allows, students will learn common data structures used in C++ including structures, lists, queues and stacks. Besides programming, students will learn pseudocode and other techniques used to formulate solutions to programming problems.

High School Music Theory
Students are taught basic music theory through a variety of means including group projects, presentations, compositions, etc. Aspects of today's music are compared/contrasted to those of the past through analysis of the use of musical elements.

Interscholastic Athletics/Extra-curricular Activities

Fine Arts

There is a Fine Arts program with offerings for all grade levels. Current subsidies require some payment by student. This year, students (grade 7-12) will attended performances at Capital Rep Theater in Albany, New York State Theater Institute at the Russell Sage College campus in Troy, as well as productions at Proctor's Theater in Schenectady and of the touring Shakespeare and Company.
