Festival of Trees

The Class of ’08 participated in the 3rd Annual Festival of Trees in Green Island. This year’s tree was dedicated in honor of the Class of ’08. It was decorated with photos from the Senior Photo Shoot, a chain garland which contained the words to their prom song, “My Wish”, and a beautiful tree-topper made by Kellie Connelly. Pink Ribbon Breakfast Fundraiser

Thanks to everyone for their generous donations for the 2nd Annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast. The Class of ’08 raised $400 (which included money raised at face painting on Family Day at the Park). The Community Hospice at St. Peter’s received a $200 donation in Memory of Bridget Brannigan. The American Heart Association received a $200 donation in honor of Robin Kinney.

Freshman-Senior Event

The Class of 2008 welcomed the Class of 2011 to High School with a week’s long School Spirit Week, finishing the week off with the Annual Freshman-Senior Dance. Students in the Class of ’11 dressed as different characters from movies and television shows, they did various skits on stage, played a game of Dodge Ball (Seniors vs. Freshman) and topped the night off with “Pie’ing.” For more photos from the Freshman Senior Event, please visit our SnapFish Photo Gallery.

Senior Photo Shoot

Class of 2008 Yearbook Photo Shoot

The Class of 2008 went on the annual Senior Photo Shoot to Shepard’s Park in Lake George. They have been finalizing their plans for Senior Week, which begins October 22.

Monday – October 22 – Sports Day
Tuesday – October 23 – Super Hero Day
Wednesday – October 24 – Wacky Wednesday
Thursday – October 25 – Toga Day
Friday – October 26 – Freshman Senior Event

Fundraising Activities:

School Store: Run out of school supplies? Need to pick something up that you forgot? Stop by the Class of 2008’s School Store to pick up those items. The Store is located in Mrs. Eberle’s Classroom.

Concession Stands: Held at the Girls Varsity and Modified Soccer Games; Boys Varsity and Modified Soccer Games; Girls Varsity and Modified Basketball Games; Girls Varsity and Modified Softball Games.

Entertainment Books: Class of ’08 is selling Entertainment Books beginning September 17. If you are interested in purchasing a book, please see a member of the Class of ’08 or Mrs. Eberle.

Pink Ribbon Breakfast Fundraiser: For the 2nd year in a row, the class has decided to hold a Pink Ribbon Breakfast Benefit. There is no cost to the breakfast, but the class is accepting donations. All money raised will be donated to Community Hospice in the name of Bridget Brannigan and to the American Heart Association in the name of Robin Kinney. The breakfast will be for faculty, staff, and students in grades 7 – 12. Anyone wishing to contribute, please make checks payable to the Heatly, Class of 2008.

New York City Bus Trip: The 4th Annual New York City Bus trip is planned for Saturday, November 3, 2007. The cost of the trip is $35 per person. We will be leaving from the Former Ford’s Parking Lot (1 block north of school) at 6:45 am, being dropped off at Bryant Park at 42nd and 6th Avenues. We will be leaving Bryant Park at 6 pm, and return to Green Island at 9 pm. Anyone interested in going on the trip, please contact Mrs. Eberle or Anita Brown.

G.I. Food Drive: Class members will be helping with the Annual Green Island Food Drive.

Teacher Appreciation Holiday Breakfast: Annual breakfast the class sponsors for Faculty and Staff at Heatly

Christmas Tree Decorating at the River Park: The class will be sponsoring their 3rd tree at the Annual Festival of Trees at the River Park.

Holiday Semi-Formal: Friday, December 21 – 4th Annual Holiday Semi-formal sponsored by the Class of 2008.
