Junior Prom

The Class of 2009 held their Junior Prom on Friday evening, April 25 at the Hiland Country Club in Queensbury. It was “A Night To Remember” as students danced the night away. The attendants for the prom were Ryan Sedgwick, Jane Broekhuizen, Joshua Mason and Ashanti Johnson. Prom Prince was Will Murtha; Princess was Amanda Forcucci; Prom King was Brandon Fish; and Prom Queen was Danielle Greene. After the prom, students enjoyed an After Prom Party sponsored by Heatly’s SADD Club at Spare Time Bowling Alley. Congratulations to the class for hosting such a wonderful prom! Pennies for Patients

Thank you to all who contributed to make the Pennies for Patients a great success! We did GREAT! The extremely generous support from students, faculty and staff raised $520.12. All of the money was donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Junior Class put containers in all of the elementary classrooms and explained to them what we were collecting the money for. They were very interested in the reason for donating the money. The class that raised the most money received a pizza party during one of their lunch periods. Congratulations to the first grade class that raised the most money and they had a wonderful time at their pizza party!

Green Island’s Relay for Life, 2007

“You’ll Never Walk Alone” was a fitting song to close Green Island’s Annual, Relay for Life.  Students, faculty, staff, parents and alumni of Heatly participated in the Relay again this year.  The event raised over $60,000 benefiting the American Cancer Society!  For more information on this  Event, visit the Relay Website.  To view photos, visit the Photo Gallery on Snapfish.

The Class of 2009 has had a busy year!  As a class, the group donated money to Community Hospice in memory of Mrs. Bridget Brannigan.  On April 28, members of the Class of 2009 worked the Spaghetti Supper, which benefited the Green Island Relay for Life.  Students also participated in Relay for Life on June 1 – 2, 2007.

Plans have been finalized for the ‘09’s Big Event – their Junior Prom!  The Prom is going to be held on April 25, 2008 at the Hiland Park Country Club, in Queensbury.  They also have ordered their class rings – lots to look forward to for next year!
