Class of 2008—Junior Prom

The Class of 2008 held their Junior Prom on May 11, 2007 at the Franklin Terrace in Troy.  The class chose an Evening in Paris as their theme, and their song was “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.  Prom King was Mike Cocca, Prom Queen was Casey Connelly.  Congratulations to the class for a wonderful evening!

Jingle Ball

The Class of 2008 held the 3rd Annual Holiday Semi-Formal – this year called the Jingle Ball.  It was a wonderful evening – with over 70 students who attended.  Next up – mark your calendars and save the date, for the Class of 2008’s prom is being held on May 11, 2007 at the Franklin Terrace.  You won’t want to miss it!

Festival of Trees

The Class of 2008 participated in Green Island’s 2ndAnnual Festival of Trees at the River Park in Green Island.  This year, the class dedicated the tree in memory of Bridget Brannigan.  The weather was perfect – and everyone had a lot of fun! A special thanks goes to Kellie Connelly for making the Tree Topper!

Good-bye dear friend

On October 19, the Class of ’08, and the Heatly family lost a dear friend – Bridget Brannigan.  Bridget was a Heatly Mom, and a strong supporter of the Class of ’08.  For our Freshman and Sophomore years, Bridget could be found helping out at our Concession Stands, being a chaperone at our dances, helping out with fundraisers, as well as cheering at athletic events and supporting our drama and musical performances.  She will truly be missed.

Wanting to do something to help out, the Class of ’08 decided to raise money to donate to St. Peter’s Hospice.  They held a benefit breakfast on October 31, as well as selling Pink Ribbon pops, and Pink Ribbon ornaments at the soccer games.  Several clubs/classes (which included the High School Student Council, the Class of 2007 and the Class of 2008) as well as students, faculty and staff at Heatly were very generous with donations.  The class raised $630!  All the money collected is being donated to St. Peter’s Hospice, in memory of Bridget Brannigan.
