Wax Museum

Madame Trussaud - watch out! Heatly's 5th grade class became a Wax Museum last week. Students researched their historic figure, dressed the part, and 'came to life' providing historical background as spectators came through the gym to view the exhibit. Greek Gods and Goddesses

After much research and preparation, the 6th Grade students presented the Greek Gods and Goddesses to the elementary classes. They talked about their character and dressed the part. To view photos from the Greek Gods and Goddesses, please visit our SnapFish Photo Gallery.

Around the World

Fourth grade students presented their social studies projects to parents and friends. They researched different countries, made display boards highlighting different facts about their countries. What a great job! To view photos from the 4th Grade Social Projects, please visit our SnapFish Photo Gallery.

4th graders focus on native Americans in nys

For the past few weeks, the 4th graders have been studying Native Americans in New York State in their Social Studies/History class. The students have been examining different types of housing that NY Native Americans lived in (i.e. Longhouses and Wigwams). All of the students were give the assignment of creating a longhouse using, primarily, items found in nature (just like the Iroquois did). Their longhouses will be in display only until Nov. 22. For more photos of the Longhouse project, please visit our Snapfish Photo Gallery.
