French Club helps with Holiday Giving at the Joseph House
Heatly French Club members put together and wrapped packages for the homeless who are staying at the Joseph House in Troy. Students chose to make a box for a child or a man or woman. Boxes are filled with personal items for adults and toys and games for kids. The shelter is always thrilled to get them! Students love to think about what to put in the box and then wrap it to make them look beautiful. Each year we deliver about 30 boxes on the week before Christmas. For anyone interested in contributing toward this project, please contact one of the students in the French Club.
French Club will deliver about 50 (yes, 50) shoe boxes and gifts to Joseph's House thanks to the French Club and with help from a few elementary classes, parents, and teachers.

On February 1, the Heatly French Club went with Miss Tucci (Club Advisor) and Mr. Mattoon (Chaperone) to the Hyde Museum in Glens Falls for a tour focusing on the French artwork and furniture that are a part of the extensive Hyde collection. Students also visited the Hyde's Gallery for the Passport to Paris exhibition, which featured sketches done by famous French artists such as Ingres, Picasso, Renoir and Seurat.
After the museum visit, the club went to Ravenous, a café in Saratoga Springs. There, they enjoyed a variety of savory lunch crepes and sweet dessert crepes. It was absolutely delicious! The club is looking forward to planning another cultural/culinary outing for next year.
