Fine Arts Wing dedicated to Superintendent
A new plaque will adorn the hallways at Heatly
School this summer.
On June 4, the Fine Arts Wing was dedicated to Superintendent John McKinney in honor and appreciation of his 41 years of service.
McKinney always had an interest in the arts, and was instrumental in seeing a capital project through in 2006-07, which made vast improvements to the music and art wing.
"I am thrilled with the thought that the Board of Education and school community would honor me in such a way," said McKinney.
McKinney will retire on June 30.
