Students explore career opportunities
On
Feb. 12, students in grades 9-12 attended two workshop sessions as Phase
2 of Heatly’s Career Exploration Program.
Students were able to interact with representatives from the medical, computer, hairdressing, accounting, emergency services, military and counseling fields.
During the workshops, presenters shared information about their background and education as well as other insights into their personal career journey.
"Students had an opportunity to ask questions
as part of the discussion and came away with a greater knowledge of the
work world and the steps necessary to be successful after high school,"
said Heatly Sr. High School Business Teacher and Career Day Coordinator,
Marilyn Michaels.
