Six students participate in Colonial Council Music Festival
On
Feb. 3 and Feb. 6, six students represented Heatly in a Colonial Council
Elementary Chorus event, which was part of the annual Colonial Council
Music Festival, at Waterford-Halfmoon Junior-Senior High School.
The six students were: Thomas Boudreau, Tiara Kinner, Megan Russell, Magnolia Waters, Tabitha Waters, and Monica Weisenforth.
Students were selected based on NYSSMA (NYS School Music Association) scores and teacher recommendations.
“I am very proud of our students. They worked really hard to prepare for the festival,” said Music Teacher Tiffany Dzembo. “The students were very respectful at the event, and were wonderful representatives of Heatly School.”
Participating schools included Voorhesville,
Mechanicville, Holy Names, Albany Academy, Watervliet, Cohoes,
Waterford-Halfmoon, and Green Island.
