Memorial Day recess extended

The Green Island Board of Education approved an extension to the Memorial Day holiday recess at its April meeting.

The official district calendar states that on Monday, May 31, school is closed in observance of Memorial Day. Because the district did not use up all of its snow days, there will be an additional contingency day on Friday, May 28.

There will be no school May 28-31.
