Sixth graders take an interest in pyramids
After studying Egypt in class, Kathy’s Kirch’s and Nicole Cioffi’s sixth-grade students showed a special interest in pyramids. In fact, they asked if they could build their own.
Students were partnered up, and used everything from poster board and glue to playdough and paint to create their pyramids. Each group also had to write a report explaining why they built their particular pyramid, what materials they used, and who might be buried in it.
"The sixth grade students were quite inventive in using their knowledge and resources to build Egyptian Pyramids," said Kirch.
