Sixth-grade students celebrate learning the recorder

On March 22, the sixth-grade class put on a recorder mini-recital followed by a small reception in the music room.

Every student performed either a duet or a solo in front of the class, as well as a few parents and teachers in attendance.

“This performance was their last on recorders and was a great end to three years of learning the recorder,” said Heatly Music Teacher Tiffany Dzembo.

The recital was also part of "Music in Our Schools Month"—a nationwide celebration of music.

Next year, the seventh graders will continue learning about instrumental music with a keyboard.
