Two fifth graders accepted into Honor Choir program over the summer
Heatly fifth-grade students and elementary chorus members, Monica Weisenforth and Tiara Kinner, were recently accepted to participate in this year's New York Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association Elementary Honor Choir (NYACDA).
The students will rehearse at the University at Albany on Aug. 9-10 under the direction of Guest Conductor, Fred Meads. Mr. Meads is the director of Vocal Studies from the acclaimed American Boychoir School.
The Honor Choir will put on a concert at the Crowne Plaza in Albany as part of the 2010 New York State Summer Music Conference.
