'Walk to School Day' this Friday, Oct. 7
Heatly Elementary School parents, students and teachers are encouraged to participate in 'Walk to School Day' this Friday, Oct. 7. Participants should gather at the Ford plant parking lot. The group walk to Heatly School will start at 7:30 a.m.
Upon arriving at the school, students in grades K-6 will attend an assembly, in which Mayor McNulty-Ryan, Dr. Mugits, Principal Peteani, and invited dignitaries will speak. The winners of the Poster Art Contest will be announced. Students will also learn about traffic safety from a New York State Department of Transportation representative.
