Get into the spirit with Heatly's holiday concerts

Green Island family members and residents are invited to this year's holiday concerts. Both events will be held in the Heatly gymnasium. The dates and themes are as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 7 p.m.: Grades K-2. (Snowdate: Dec. 19)

Students in grades K-2 at Green Island elementary school (directed by Tiffany Dzembo) will perform traditional holiday tunes with a 1950's rock 'n roll twist. There will also be art displayed, photo opportunities for families, a bake sale, and raffle drawings sponsored by the PTO. Come support local arts and our community!

Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 7 p.m.: Grades 3-6 + Chorus. (Snowdate: Dec. 19)

Students in grades 3-6 at Green Island Elementary School will perform their annual Holiday Concert under the direction of Tiffany Dzembo. Songs include Silver Bells, Winter Wonderland, and De Colores. There will also be art displayed, a bake sale, and raffle drawings sponsored by the PTO. Come support local arts and our community!

All students are required to attend this concert and participation is part of the students' music grade. Students who are unable to attend the concert must do a make-up assignment. The Troy Children’s Chorus (directed by Maury Castro) will join forces with the Heatly Elementary Chorus of Green Island (directed by Tiffany Dzembo) to perform a special holiday concert at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Pieces to be performed include Carol of the Bells, Give Us Hope, and Winter Wonderland. All are welcome to this free event.
