Congratulations November Students of the Month
Eighth-grader Tiffany DeCota and junior Mason Towne have been named Students of the Month for November.
Tiffany DeCota
(Grade 8)
Tiffany DeCota is Student of the Month for grades 7-9. Tiffany’s teachers feel that she exhibits the qualities of a dedicated learner and a polite, respectful person.
Ms. Tucci noted that Tiffany is a fantastic student in French and does very well in the class. In Home and Careers, Tiffany’s work is top quality and her behavior and attitude is always positive. Tiffany cares about her success in science and often asks questions to make sure she understands the expectations of the class or assignment. Each of the teachers who nominated Tiffany noted that she goes out of her way to help her classmates and that she is both respectful and polite and always has a smile.
Ms. Van VanValkenburgh summed it up when she
said, "Tiffany is very kind and helpful to her classmates and truly
wants to learn and do the right thing. She goes out of her way to help
those who are struggling and helps out around the classroom without ever
being asked. She has a kind soul."
Mason Towne (Grade 11)
Mason Towne was nominated as November’s Student of the Month for grades 10-12.
His science teacher, Mrs. Starr, said, "Mason simply goes above and beyond in chemistry class. He questions the content to be sure he has a good understanding. He helps his peers and is willing to work hard until he reaches success. He currently has a 98 in the class! Awesome job!”
Mason is also an integral member of the Debate Club, where his excellent critical thinking skills are apparent.
