Seventh-grader to compete in regional spelling bee

 

 

 

 

 

Heatly seventh-grader Monica Wiesenforth has won the school's spelling bee and will represent Green Island in the Capital Region Spelling Bee at Proctor's Theater in Schenectady on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

The winner of the regional competition will compete at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. this spring.
