Heatly to "Go Red" for women's heart health this Friday, Feb. 3
On
Friday, Feb. 3, National Wear Red DayŽ, the Heatly School community will
join Americans nationwide by wearing red to show their support for
women's heart disease awareness.
The Wear Red Day is part of the American Heart
Association’s “Go Red For Women Movement" in an ongoing effort to
elevate public awareness about cardiovascular illness, the No. 1 killer
of women.
According to the American Heart Association, more women die of heart
disease than all forms of cancer combined.
Heatly students and staff are encouraged to trade green and "Go Red" this Friday.
Red dress pins are available for a $1 donation. Please see Mrs. Arasim. All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association.
