Understanding New York's Property Tax Levy Cap

This page is dedicated to explaining New York's new tax levy cap law, often referred to as a "2 percent tax cap." This is a misrepresentation, because the law does not in fact restrict any proposed tax levy increase to two percent. Learn more about the new law by viewing the information below.
