Green Island inducts National Honor Society, Junior Honor Society members

NHS members poseGreen Island faculty and staff recognized their top scholars on Oct. 6 as they inducted them into the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society.

With family members looking on, the National Honor Society welcomed seniors Anthony Carl and Sean Ellis, juniors Haeli Miller, Mackenzie Rankin and Aliya Wachunas and sophomore Elyssa Bailey.

They join current members - President Danielle Boyd, Vice President Molly Esposito and Treasurer Karleigh Seeloff.

Inducted into the National Junior Honor Society were eighth grade students L.J. McCarthy, Addisynn Miller and Julian Peterson.

 To gain eligibility to the honor societies, students must maintain a cumulative average of 85 or greater, be involved in their communities, show leadership skills and upstanding personal character qualities.
