Dear Families,
We are writing to share important information regarding transportation for students
in grades 9–12 attending Watervliet.
To support safe and reliable travel, multiple designated bus stops will be available
throughout Green Island to transport students to and from Watervliet.
Specific stop locations and pick-up/drop-off times will be:
07:20 am Arch St & High St (W)
07:22 am Arch St & George St (W)
07:23 am Center Ct & Center St & George St
07:25 am George St & Market St
07:26 am George St & Lafayette St (N)
While families may choose alternative transportation, we strongly encourage students
to take advantage of district-provided bus service. Riding the school bus not only helps
reduce congestion and ensure timely arrival but also fosters responsibility and a school community.
School Bus Expectations
Please review the following expectations with your child. Riding the school bus is a privilege,
not a right. To ensure the safety of all students and staff, the following rules must be followed:
● Walk when entering and exiting the bus.
● Remain seated at all times while the bus is in motion.
● Keep hands, arms, and belongings inside the bus.
● Speak respectfully; avoid shouting, pushing, or throwing objects.
● Follow all directions given by the driver promptly and respectfully.
Our shared goal is to provide a safe and respectful transportation experience for all students.
We appreciate your support and cooperation in reinforcing these expectations with your child.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Bouchey
Principal
