Please mark your calendars for the important upcoming dates and deadlines listed below, ahead of the district’s annual Budget Vote and Board of Education Election on TUESDAY, MAY 19, which will take place from 2 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Heatly in the Cafeteria.

BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTION:  In addition to voting on the District’s budget for the 2026-2027 school year on May 19, the community will also vote to fill two seats on the Board of Education. 

ABSENTEE VOTING:  If you are unable to vote in person on May 19, you can request an absentee ballot. Please contact Angela Legault to request an absentee ballot at alegault@greenisland.org or by calling 518-273-1422 option 7.

Budget Vote & BOE Election Timeline:

Monday, April 20, 2026:  Deadline to return BOE nominating petitions with signatures by 5pm; Absentee ballots are available by contacting Angela Legault at alegault@greenisland.org or by calling 518-273-1422 option 7.

Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (6:00 p.m.): BOE meeting; Board votes to adopt the budget.

Thursday, May 7, 2026 (6:00 p.m.):  BOE meeting; Public Budget Hearing (public presentation of proposed adopted budget)Tuesday, May 19, 2026:  Annual Budget Vote & Board of Education Election (2 p.m.- 8 p.m. in the Heatly Cafeteria)
