Green Island UFSD is pleased to announce that voters have approved the $7.7 million Capital Project by a vote of 59 (yes) to 2 (no).

This important project, with no tax increase, will enhance our school facilities to better serve students, staff, families, and the community. The project includes infrastructure upgrades such as roof replacement and air conditioning improvements, essential health and safety enhancements including fire alarm and communication system upgrades, and improvements to academic programming with the relocation of district offices.

“We thank our community for their belief and support of our school’s future,” said Superintendent Dan Kalbfliesh. “These improvements will create safer, more comfortable, and more effective learning environments for all.”

Construction planning will proceed now that the project has been approved. We will share updates on timelines and next steps soon.
