Heatly elementary school students celebrate 100th day of school

4th graders with designed T-Shirts

Monday, February 12, was the 100th day of school at Green Island UFSD. The 100th day of school is a school-centered holiday that represents growth and achievement, and helps teach the concrete lesson of the number 100 to elementary school students.

To celebrate at Heatly, elementary school students participated in various activities that involved counting to 100, gathering 100 objects, or designing collages and T-Shirts commemorating the day.

In Kindergarten, children created fruit loop cereal necklaces, and had math-centered 100 day activities.

In 1st Grade, students and their families created posters celebrating the 100th day, and when in school on Tuesday, students participated in small group activities involving the number 100.

In 2nd and 3rd Grade, students made a 100th day collage at home, and shared them with the class to be displayed in the hallway on Tuesday.

In 4th Grade, students designed their own 100th day of school t-shirts.
