Sixth and Eighth grade students recognized by NYSAHPERD for Student Leadership Award

On Monday, May 6, the following students attended the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance to receive the Sandra G. Morley Elementary Student Leadership Award.

Sixth grade: Autumn Artis, Christof Ambesi, Jillian Blowers, Nycollas Alexandre Campos, and Mikey Dutches;

Eighth grade: Alante Mayo, Laeney Miller, James Popson, Nicholas Rodriguez, and Eden Zakrzewski

Each year, physical education teachers nominate students from the highest grades in their elementary and middle/junior high schools.

Capital Region physical education teachers nominated students who exhibit a high level of physical performance, scholastic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities, and outstanding service to the school or town community.
